European International Programs
European International Programmes are basic tools for the implementation of the European Research and Education policy, outlined in the Lisbon Strategy, signed by the European Council in Lisbon in 2000r.
The Lisbon Strategy is one of the most important documents stimulating economic and social changes in four areas:
- Innovativeness , including the development of the economy based on knowledge as well as fostering the economic competitiveness,
- Liberalization of the market in vary spheres,
- Entrepreneurship, with special emphasis on creation and development of small and medium enterprises,
- Social cohesion.
The main activates related to the above priorities focus on modernisation of the labour policy, creation of positive changes in the labour market, as well as remodelling the educational model towards the greater coherence with the emerging economy based on knowledge.
Despite, every programme has its unique objectives, all of them strengthen the realization of the following priorities:
- Developing of the new technology in production and IT sectors,
- Enhancing the mobility and exchange of the best ideas and practices,
- Stimulating innovativeness,
- Increasing the quality of education, including life time learning, in the context of changing labour market,
- Activating the unemployment and equalising chances.
